Since the great rock of Molarotto has become part of the nature reserve, this dive site is the most eastern of ‘Marine Protected Area. A group of rocks rising from less than 10 mt from the sea, surrounded by a vast prairie of Posidonia and reaching out to the north, under water, with a shoal just below the surface.
A few dozen meters from the rocks, at a depth of 17 meters, the wreck appears broken into three main sections. Many pieces are scattered around the hull, the bow was turned over and forms a kind of tunnel in which aragostine and king of mullets hide. Moving aft you come to the bridge which lies in a horizontal position and, immediately after, the engine area is completely uncovered. The big machine is visible and you can swim around it. Finally we reach the stern which is stacked on the left side: you see the propeller shaft from the motor side, while the big rudder is hidden in the sediment.
The dive can also be made by swimming along the perimeter of the submerged rocks, swimming on Posidonia, sediment on rocky cliffs and between formations of rocks that often hide extraordinary big fish.
It is not unusual, during the season, to come into contact with huge schools of barracuda moving slowly through the tufts of pisidonia and stones scattered on the bottom. \the dive is very simple but at the same time, interesting due to its of nature and the many possibilities it gives you.
